Vision

“Rooted in our ancestors” wisdom, guided by the Great Law of Peace, and driven by the voices of
our people, Ahkwatsire is a living record of who we are, where we’ve been, and where we choose
to go together.

We envision a united Kanehsatà:ke where truth, accountability, and respect for all generations
shape our governance, our lands, and our future. This platform honours our shared history,
amplifies our community’s voices, and empowers every member to participate in the growth and
protection of our territory and identity.

Through open dialogue, transparent information, and community-driven stories, Ahkwatsire is
our collective tool to reclaim our narrative, document our struggles, celebrate our strengths, and
ensure that every decision made reflects the will and well-being of our people.

Mission Statement

Ahkwatsire / Our Voices / Nos Voix exists to document, protect, and uplift the voices of
Kanehsatà:ke, ensuring that our history, governance, and collective experiences are preserved
and shared with integrity.

We are dedicated to fostering transparency, promoting informed participation, and strengthening
our identity through community-driven content. By providing accessible information on
governance, land stewardship, and cultural heritage, we empower our people to lead with
knowledge, respect, and unity.

This platform is a space for truth-telling, learning, and building a stronger future grounded in our
Kanien’kehá:ka values and the Great Law of Peace.
